Carry Law in The State Of Maine

May 31, 2016 by Online Carry Training

Thursday, October 15, 2015, Permitless carry is officially a law in the state of Maine.

This law was sponsored by senator Eric Brakey (R) LD 652 and allows all residents of Maine that are not prohibited by law to own a firearm to concealed carry without a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). This law does not affect the existing system of carry permitting for those who will join the concealed carry permit agreement when travelling to other states.

This law allows 18-21 year old active military to conceal carry without a permit.

You can find more information about this new law here.
