Donald Trump Is A Concealed Carrier in NYC!

March 3, 2016 by Online Carry Training

Donald Trump is an occasional concealed carrier – this is what the 2016 Presidential Candidate admitted himself during an interview with John Dickerson of CBS News’ Face the Nation. “I will tell you, I feel much better being armed,” Trump told Dickerson.

The Business Insider wrote an article that discussed how this interview and Trump’s statement would affect his political standing for the Presidential Election. Meanwhile, let us talk about the practical side of this interview.

If we think about it, ordinary people like us do not have bodyguards to follow us every hour and every day. Therefore, it is really important for us to carry concealed everyday. Concealed carrying can only be a choice if you can already afford to have private security guards.

In New York City, only a few have their legal concealed carry permits like Trump, and Trump must know that fact. Generally, carry permits are issued to retired Law Enforcement Officers, celebrities and armed guards only. Even if you have a valid permit from the state of New York, you are still not allowed to carry your pistol on the five counties of New York City (also known as the Five Burroughs – Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Harlem) without endorsement. Law-abiding citizens would therefore have a hard time of carrying their self-defense weapons, and the criminals would not have a difficult time carrying theirs.

Some of noted celebrities who were able to have their concealed carry permit in New York City are Marc Anthony, Robert De Niro, Howard Stern and Harvey Keitel. It seems like only those with lots of money and influence are allowed to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Report from NY Daily News: “The NYPD is extremely thorough in their investigation,” said divorce lawyer to the stars Raoul Felder, who also has a permit to carry. “In other states, you fill out a form, swear you are not a lunatic, and you get it.”

It is even funnier to think that these people who were allowed by the New York City to obtain their concealed carry licenses (whether by their money or fame) are also the same people who can afford to keep a full-time private army. We don’t mean that they should not have those rights, but what we want to point out here is that, other law-abiding citizens of the Five Burroughs must be given the same privileges. Like celebrities, politicians and other wealthy people, it is also possible for them to be beaten up or robbed, so they should also be able to defend themselves and their family when there is an imminent danger.

How was this one city able to implement such arbitrary rules when in fact, larger portions of the country use the state and federal laws to determine which individuals should be allowed to carry or not?
