How Do I Obtain an Arizona Concealed Carry License?

Arizona is one of three states in the United States that currently allow all eligible residents to carry concealed without a concealed weapons license.  This means that as long as you are a valid possessor you may carry your weapon with you concealed in all locations except where it is prohibited by law or banned by property owners with the proper signage.  There are two other states that allow concealed carry without a permit which are Alaska and Vermont.  These laws are great for those who want to carry concealed in those three states but if you travel to a less permissive state you will need to have a concealed carry permit that is honored by the state that you are visiting.

If you are a resident of the State of Arizona then earning your concealed permit is a very straightforward process.  First, you must complete a firearms safety training course and second submit your application, certificate, and fee (certified check or money order only) to the Arizona Department of Public safety.

When you are ready to take your firearms safety course you can go to Online Carry Training and register for the online class that will allow you to complete your training requirements from the comfort of your own home.  Once you have completed the course and taken the short exam you will receive a completion certificate that you can use for your training requirement for the concealed carry license in the State of Arizona.  With the Arizona concealed carry permit you will be able to carry concealed in all states that have a reciprocity agreement with the State of Arizona.

If you are not a resident of the State of Arizona then there is still an option for you to obtain an Arizona non-resident permit.  The requirements are the same to be eligible for the non-resident permit as the resident permit just complete your firearms safety course at Online Carry Training and submit your application and fee for the permit to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.  With your Arizona non-resident permit you will be able to carry concealed in 37 states that have reciprocity with the State of Arizona.
